Moving forward with the Ideathon, we propose the following process to select up to 3 projects (besides the 2 already fixed ones) that are eligible to receive funding in our DAO research initiative.
The proposed Roadmap can be found here: IDEATHON ROADMAP
Submission deadline:
- The deadline for DAO’s to deliver a proposal for funding is the 31st of January 1 pm CET. Please follow the process laid out in the DAO Pioneer Ideathon document.
Project selection process
DAO Jury selection process:
This Jury will decide which projects receive a part of the funding and will be supported in the next months. This is how the Jury will be selected:
- We propose to involve community members in the decision of which project should receive funding.
- We propose the Jury consists of 5 members. 3 members out of the DAO Pioneers group and Antonio and Holger will be the ones to select the projects.
- These 3 members cannot be part of a DAO that applies for funding (exception: being a member in the Moderator or the Content Creator DAO).
- We invite the DAO Pioneer members to nominate candidates, and interested members to nominate themself in the DAO Pioneer #Ideathon - Jury thread.
- The nomination phase is between18th January and 25th January 1 pm CET
- The DAO Pioneer members will decide who the 3 Jury members should be using a special Discord poll bot in the time between 26th and 28th January 1 pm CET
Choosing the 3 DAO projects:
The submitted requests for funding support need to be evaluated and the Jury needs to decide which projects will be chosen:
- The evaluation phase on the submitted proposals start 31st January at 1 pm CET and ends on 5th February at 1 pm CET
- The elected Jury will come together and discuss the submitted proposals to evaluate if the proposals fulfill the requirements of the Ideathon initiative defined in the document.
- The final jury vote will happen on February the 5th and the decision will be published
Building a Treasury committee:
To monitor the initiative, a Treasury committee should have oversight and ensure that all funded projects continue to make progress and obey the set conditions:
