ℹ️ THIS DOCUMENT IS CREATED WITH THE INPUT OF THE IOTA DAO PIONEERS
Rationale
This initiative is designed to be a joint research project between the IOTA Foundation and the IOTA community.
To strengthen our ongoing research and to support our community in the field of decentralized autonomous organizations in the IOTA Ecosystem, a Grant-Funding program worth 100.000 euros has been established.
These Funds can be requested and distributed to a maximum of 5 new-formed DAOs in the IOTA community that fit the below-described requirements. The purpose of this Grant funding is:
- Enable a DAO culture in the IOTA community.
- Acquire real-world experience in setting up and starting DAOs
- Enable participants to try out different structures and options of DAOs.
- allow for failures as no one is perfect.
- gather valuable information that will help other projects aiming to go the same route towards becoming a DAO and help them make better future decisions.
- Elevate DAO expertise within the IOTA ecosystem.
- Enable us to publish results and potentially develop better governance systems in the future using IOTA technology.
This document defines the requirements a team has to fulfill to be considered a candidate for the funded Pioneer DAOs.
